East Brandywine Fire Co. was dispatched at 18:13 for an automobile fire. Deputy 49 arrived on the scene at 18:21 and reported a fully involved van fire with the residence as an exposure. Engine 49 responded with a crew of six and arrived on the scene at 18:24. Chief 49 arrived and assumed command. Tanker 49 and Utility 49 also made the response. The firefighters were able to contain the fire before it spread to the house.
